CIIT And Anino Games Celebrate Official Partnership

The Cosmopoint International Institute of Technology (CIIT) has formalized its collaboration with Anino Games, the largest game development company in the country, in producing industry-ready curriculum in the exciting new fields of 3D Animation and Game Development. Under the partnership, Anino Games will collaborate with CIIT to create new curriculum, provide instructors and train CIIT’s current instructors and students.

Niel Dagondon, president of Anino Games says, “It has long been a prevailing problem of the business and knowledge outsourcing industry where to source industry-ready graduates to fuel its exponential growth.

We process hundreds and hundreds of applicants a month only to find that only around 2% of them are qualified. We are very excited about this partnership as it will guarantee that creative companies like us will be able to get graduates that will immediately be employable in the future.” Mr. Dagondon now also serves as a board member of CIIT.

The Video game industry is now estimated at Sixty Billion US dollars globally with revenues surpassing Music and Film. Along with the continuing growth of other business process outsourcing, Filipino game developers and animators aim to turn the Philippines into a hotspot. With the local animation industry taking root since the 1980’s, the Filipino’s skill has already been recognized by renowned international clients looking to outsource creative services.

CIIT, a member of the Cosmopoint Education Group from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and an academic member of the Game Developer’s Association of the Philippines, aims to produce graduates that will be globally recognized as highly competent practitioners in their respective fields. One of its goals is to become the premier provider of affordable world-class quality ICT education in the country, with industry relevant and up-to-date lessons, which includes their newest college courses, 3D Animation and Game Development.

With the pooled efforts of the local game development companies to attract investors and clients from across the globe, comes the need increasingly high demand for skilled professionals, particularly in 3D Animation and Game Development.  And despite the decline in employment and revenue growth in the country, the animation industry still manages to be at the top of its game through the rise of the BPO industry as well as the Filipino’s inherent creativity and familiarity with both eastern and western cultures. According to analysts, over 60% of game development and game services related budgets are going to be outsourced around the globe, with 75% of total gaming developments having been outsourced as of 2009.
