A burst of colors and creativity: PHantasya V Art Competition

Imagination is more important than knowledge, we believe. And as an arts school ourselves, CIIT encourages a creative environment where students can further develop and freely express their skills and passion in the arts.

For the last five years, CIIT has also been providing a venue to acknowledge the skills and talents of students who are naturally more creative, visual, and artistic. Skills which, unfortunately, are not necessarily normally recognized in schools where students are programmed to excel more in science and math.

CIIT’s PHantasya art contest paves the way for students from different schools to display their creativity and skills. It is an annual art competition which gathers junior and senior high school students who create on-the spot artworks through digital and traditional mediums.

Dubbed as PHantasya V, the competition used the theme, Philippine fantasy: Rising Above, where students’ artworks were based. The on-the-spot competition or both categories was has held simultaneously on March 7, 2015 at the CIIT campus with a total of 144 participants from 35 different schools, 22 for digital and 122 for traditional. The winners were awarded on March 8, 2015 at the Fisher Mall in Quezon City.
