In line with our efforts to push for innovation and industry readiness, CIIT is proud to be a member of the Oracle Academy. As part of this global educational program, the CIIT community gains free access to Oracle’s range of software and learning resources.
CIITzens will have a more hands-on learning experience through the incorporation of Oracle tools into the curriculum. For our students taking up BS Computer Science, BS Information Systems, and BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing programs, it will be easier to develop apps by using the low-code platform Oracle APEX (Application Express). More technologies will be available to them in the following academic year. From the Oracle Cloud, Data Science tools, to Enterprise Data Management, among others, students will be more geared to speed up their innovations.
With such preliminary exposure to the newest technologies used by professionals, our students are immediately trained on how to best harness these tools when they join the industry.
Oracle’s technologies will also make the teaching more efficient for our educators. But beyond this, they will also have access to the Oracle curriculum. It’s designed to educate students with fundamental and sought-after skills involving tech, such as Java, cloud, and database.
This membership also poses learning opportunities for our faculty through Oracle’s professional development offerings. There are certifications and continuing education courses that they can take advantage of to further their proficiency and impart the lessons to students.
Such resources from Oracle will empower our learners and educators to stay up to date with the continuous advancements of technology and leverage them for their careers. Integrating all these tools in the classroom is also a testament to CIIT’s pursuit of being equipped with state-of-the-art solutions to innovate learning experiences.
