That is the exact time it took Freshman student Mark Limtian to completely assemble a PC hardware with full peripherals and take home 1st Runner-up in the recently concluded Inter-Collegiate IT Olympics 2011 organized by and held at the University of Makati last March 2, 2011.
The competition was held by the school to promote camaraderie and provides venue for the exchange of ideas in hopes of furthering IT education in the country. There were four categories from PC Assembly, Computer Network, Digital Electronics and Java Programming that students can join and compete. A set of goals were given and students compete with each other by being the fastest to complete these tasks with equivalent time penalties given
for any violations. With its similar goal and vision of improving the skills of IT students in the country, CIIT is proud to have participated and won an award from this competition. We definitely look forward to next years’ competition and hope to give an even stronger performance.
CIIT would like to congratulate Mark along with the other team members including Allan Jeffrey Pajarillo, John Christopher Sy, Joemari dela Cruz, Aika Cunanan and Victor Roger Manlutac.
