In this article, we highlight how CIIT’s BSEMC placement services support students as they take their first steps into the professional world.
What is BSEMC?
The Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC) program combines computing principles with the creative arts, focusing on designing and developing multimedia products.
Over four years, students master programming languages like C++, Java, and Python for software and game development while honing skills in 2D and 3D animation, game design, sound engineering, video editing, and web development. This comprehensive training equips graduates with a versatile skill set, preparing them to excel in diverse roles within the multimedia industry.
CIIT’s Placement Services

We are dedicated to facilitating a seamless transition from education to employment. Through these initiatives, students gain valuable insights into industry expectations and build connections that can enhance their career prospects.
Career Consultation and Coaching
Career support at CIIT is a collaborative effort between the Academics Department and the Placement Office. Students benefit from technical mentorship provided by faculty members who are also active industry professionals, specifically in game development and digital arts. Their real-world expertise ensures that students receive relevant, course-specific guidance through individual or group consultations.
Complementing this is the Placement Office’s one-on-one career coaching, led by certified career coaches. These sessions focus on broader career development, including goal setting, personal branding, and soft skills. Together, this dual support system prepares students for both industry readiness and long-term career success.
Industry Engagement and Employability Support
To strengthen students’ readiness for the workforce, CIIT regularly hosts learning sessions and career-focused activities in partnership with industry professionals. These events offer practical insights into current trends, in-demand skills, and real-world expectations, allowing students to stay informed and better prepared for their chosen careers.
In addition, our faculty—particularly in game development and digital arts—bring valuable industry connections that open doors to internship and job opportunities. By combining direct industry engagement with mentorship from practitioners, the school helps students build meaningful networks and enhances their employability, contributing to more successful placement outcomes.
Industry Partnerships and Curriculum Enhancement
At CIIT, the Partnerships and Industry Relations Office (PIRO) leads efforts to build meaningful collaborations with key players in the game development sector. These partnerships drive not only organizational growth but also enhance academic programs and career placement strategies, ensuring students gain real-world competencies aligned with industry needs.
Over the past three academic years, we have worked closely with several leading game development studios to review and refine the BSEMC curriculum. Notable contributors include The Studio of Secret 6, Taktyl Studios, HPL Game Design, Keywords Studios Manila, GDAP, Kooapps Philippines, Gugenka Manila Studio, Amber Studio, Pixel Mafia, Ottodot, Definite Studios, and Polychroma Games.
These partnerships have supported the development of specialized content in 3D animation and game development, while also facilitating workshops, networking events, and collaborative initiatives that bridge academic learning with industry practice. As a result, our students are better equipped with the relevant skills and insights needed for careers in today’s dynamic multimedia and game development industries.
From Training to Placement
CIIT’s industry partnerships offer students internships with established multimedia and game development companies, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. These experiences build practical skills, deepen industry understanding, and often lead to employment after graduation.
Notable examples include an intern at HPL Game Design recognized for quality assurance work, another at Keywords Studios Manila praised for 3D artistry, and a student at Secret 6 Inc. commended for strong technical performance, demonstrating the real impact of CIIT’s internship program on career development.
