At CIIT, collaboration doesn’t stop at the classroom or office door. It thrives in every interaction, whether it’s a project, a shared lunch, or a lively game. This was the energy that filled the 7th floor Cinema Lab Bleachers at the CIIT Interweave Building during the latest HR-led Monthly Gathering, a simple yet purposeful event designed to nurture stronger connections among team members.
Organized by the CIIT Human Resources Department, the Monthly Gatherings are more than just a break from routine. They are a space for employees to bond beyond the demands of work where casual conversations, laughter, and a shared snack can spark renewed trust and understanding among colleagues.
This month’s activity was a lighthearted balloon relay that tested teamwork, balance, and a touch of creativity. Split into two teams, participants used ribbons to pass balloons across a line without using their hands, culminating in a final challenge where the last players had to place the balloon into a box using anything but their hands. The timer was set, the pressure was on, and the energy was electric.
A healthy sense of competitiveness emerged, adding to the excitement. Laughter echoed as balloons bounced, ribbons tangled, and clever tactics unfolded. Even though the game wrapped up quickly, the light and fun atmosphere lingered well into the post-game snack time, with smiles shared over food and stories.
More than the mechanics of the game or the prizes awarded, it was the spirit of the gathering that stood out. One rooted in CIIT’s commitment to weaving a strong and supportive work culture. These monthly moments remind us that building a connected community starts with trust, and trust is built through shared experiences.
As one participant remarked, “It’s refreshing to just have fun with your teammates. You learn more about them in ways that work can’t always show.”
