Spreading Love and Gratitude

CIIT delighted its faculty and staff with a heartwarming activity in celebration of Love Month.

Have you ever experienced a deep sense of gratitude for someone but struggled to express it, fearing that your words might be perceived as cheesy or insincere? Last February, in celebration of Love Month, CIIT launched an activity that allowed its faculty and staff to express their gratitude, appreciation, and encouragement for their colleagues through anonymous letters.

The heartwarming activity allowed employees to connect with one another and make them feel special and recognized, especially during this season of love. The anonymous letters, filled with poetry, inspiring quotes, and heartfelt messages, created a sense of mystery and excitement for both the sender and the recipient. It’s like having a secret admirer, which makes it all the more thrilling to receive a letter.

It’s easy to overlook the little things, but these small gestures of kindness can go a long way, brightening up someone’s day and creating a culture of appreciation and kindness, reminding ourselves and our colleagues of the value we bring to each other’s lives.

It’s important to remember that love and appreciation are not exclusive to romantic relationships. Our friends, family, colleagues, and even ourselves deserve to express love and feel loved and appreciated. Let’s make this a reminder to spread kindness and love, not just during Valentines, but throughout the year. Let’s continue to build a culture of appreciation and gratitude, where every day is an opportunity to show someone how much we value them.
